A Country Chic Wedding – Katie + Troy
Welcome to the longest, most photo-filled blog post in the history of blogging! Katie and Troy’s country chic wedding, with photos shot on the family farm, was one of my favorite weddings ever! As you will see, everything is beautiful. But what I loved the most was how genuine every bit of the day was! Country themed weddings are for sure a thing. Everyone wants their engagement photos in a barn. I get that. Its gorgeous! Katie and Troy, however, claim full rights to a county wedding because these two are the real deal. True country kids and probably the most gracious pair of people I have ever met in my life.
Normally, I’m fairly disciplined about how many images I prepare for a blog. In this case, I could not be controlled. At all. There are likely over 100 images in this blog post and I’m in love with every single one. Let’s get started…
Here comes the lace…
At the same time, some 20 miles apart…
Seriously!! Could this dress be any more perfect for her?!?! Obsessed. And obsessed with her being sweet to her mama.
Time to get married!
As the ceremony is beginning I’m typically staked out at the end of the aisle documenting the procession. Zac, however, is typically station in the back of the church or wherever the bride and her father (or whomever is walking her down the aisle) are waiting. That means he’s getting the good stuff. The nerves, the excitement, the love…. all the feels!
These two shots are a perfect example of why we do that!! Probably my favorite two wedding images in the history of ever. (And I didn’t take them. Go figure. Husbands earnin’ that paycheck…)
In the back, waiting to sign their marriage license…
Formal portrait time. This is where I really couldn’t control myself. Behold all the images!
Loved this bridal party! These girls were so sweet! They took such good care of their bride!
The ladies each picked out their own statement jewelry and they nailed it!!
Well hello handsome men…
And just a quick peek into their reception…
And a quick wedding PSA before I wrap this bad boy up. I totally support traditional family photos at the altar area after a ceremony. But trust me and spare your photographer 5 or 10 minutes during your reception to snag some more candid, personal images with your parents or your most favorite people. Much more frame-able than the traditional option, if I do say so myself.
