Augusta, MO Winery Wedding – Chelsea + Jim
Chelsea and Jim’s Augusta, Mo wedding was very important to me. It reminded me that I need to spend more time in Missouri Wine Country.
Seriously.
How is Missouri – and nearby Missouri, no less – that beautiful?! We visited Augusta once a handful of years back and I think I had just forgotten how scenic it is! Plus the wine ain’t shabby! Anyway, this is not an advertisement for Augusta wineries. It’s an advertisement for my photography services. I kid, I kid!! Sort of. Anyway… Chelsea and Jim, everyone!
Obsessed with these pearl details!! Swoon! I need more people to wear more pearls!
Gorgeous!! I also need more cathedral length veils in my life. Just look at the way it floats down and pools at the floor. Gah!!
More pearls! More long, long veils!
Excuse me? Can you tell me where to find the altar?
Meanwhile, in the back of the church…
I loved this church!! So gorgeous! The light, the lines, the stained glass! Whew. It was almost too much for me. Shifting just a foot one way or another created an entirely different image depending on how the light was coming in the stained glass. I was geeking out big time.
Chelsea and Jim’s ceremony is definitely in the lead as one of my very favorite ceremonies. It’s always extra special when the officiant knows the couple on a personal level, as this priest did. Plus he was just so on the mark with everything he said about love and marriage and faith. Sometimes our wedding/travel schedule means we don’t make it to Mass as often as I might prefer, but man, ceremonies like this one make up for it!
Once they were married up, we headed to Noboleis Vineyards for the reception. So beautiful!! I’m really hoping we can spend some non-work related time there this fall. Please excuse me while I over-blog a bazillion portraits of these two…
Loved the little succulents on the tables. Jealous of them, really. I potted several and lined my mantel with them back in the early Spring. And then they died. Apparently you are supposed to water them? I may have had them confused with cacti… In any case, I now have empty pots lining my mantel. Okay, that’s not true. I still haven’t stolen 5 minutes to remove the dead plants from the pots. So I have a bunch of dead plants lining my mantel. Someone call Better Homes and Gardens and get them over here…
Something I love about venues like Noboleis is that there’s more to the reception than just dancing. Personally, I’m a dance floor kinda gal. But that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Vineyard weddings like this are great for letting different groups of people gather in different little areas while they sip some drinks, chat, enjoy the view, etc.
It’s pretty rare that we attend an entire wedding reception but for this one we stayed until the end. I love these last two dancing images we caught right at the end!!
And of course, the big moment we stuck around for, the sparkler exit! Super fun!
Thanks to Chelsea and Jim for the opportunity to witness a beautiful ceremony and lovely party, you guys are fabulous!!
