Farm Engagement Photos – Erin and Ben
Oh baby am I excited about this one! Farm locations are high on my list of favorites – not that there are many places I dislike shooting! These farm engagement photos really rock my socks. We met up with Erin and Ben at Ben’s place with a loose plan of seeing what there was to see and making it happen. It had been a super icky day and I wasn’t sure we’d be doing much of anything, but as it often does, the sky cleared up just in time.
The thing about shooting on a farm is that there are usually lots of buildings and random things to great a huge variety of images. Have a look, see what I mean…
Hopefully that giant series of images convinces you of why you need two photographers! One location, minor variations on the same pose, and a dozen awesome and unique images because you’ve got two sets of eyes, two imaginations and a load of different angles. Boom! Hire two, baby, hire two! (We always come as a pair… just putting that out there. Wink.)
And in case those weren’t convincing, please see below for a bit more his and her action…
How cool are these trees?!
I have to tell you, the whole time I was editing these images I was humming a tune. I finally stopped and thought, “What am I humming??” Ya’ll. I was humming “The farmer takes a wife, the farmer takes a wife…” Yeah. Obviously I’m going a little heavy on the baby music these days if that’s what’s popping into my head!!
When we were discussing plans for this session, Erin mentioned there was an old truck in the pasture. She noted she didn’t know what it was doing there, but it looked cool. That must just be a thing because this is not the first, nor the second, time I’ve shot in an old truck inexplicably located in a pasture. Getting them into the pasture truck was a bit of a challenge since there wasn’t much interior left, but they made it happen! #worthit Am I right? All hail the beauty of the pasture truck…
And we rounded it out with a few shots with Hank the puppy. What a sweetheart! For the record, I did snag a few images that better capture these two and Hank, but this one makes me laugh, so this is the one you get to see. How hilarious. That’s typically the response I get when photographing 3 year olds too!
Thanks for hiking all about the farm with us! Can’t wait for the big day!
