Gina & Jeff – Twin Creeks Wedding
Well, hello there. Please excuse me while I completely over-blog this wedding because I’m obsessed with it…
Gina & Jeff got hitched at Twin Creeks Golf Course in Streator and it was fab-u-lous! So pumped to share their pretty pictures with you.
Let us begin at the very beginning, at Reveal Salon in Streator. Streator area brides…do not underestimate how good of an idea it is to have your hair/make up done here. Obviously, they do a great job with both. But the salon itself photographs really, really well!
I know I’ve said this before – but the moment when the bride realizes she is, in fact, the bride, is so so fun!! See…
Killer bouquets by Flowers Plus! And helllllooo pink dress!!! I almost fell over when I realized she was wearing a pink dress. So pretty, so girly!
Classic “Oh no, my mom is going cry” face. :)
Once everyone was dolled up, it was time for the big First Look! I love this moment! Whether you do it privately before the ceremony or as you come down the aisle, its always special. Usually, I’m really psyched to see the groom’s reaction to his bride. And while Jeff did not disappoint, Gina’s reaction was epic. Love these!
Cue the pretty formal photos…
This bridal party? Rock stars. Fun, friendly and looking goooood!
With the photos done and the fun in full swing, it was time to get hitched!
Here comes the bride…and the tears…
Gina and Jeff got married right at the point in my pregnancy where I was crying about everything. Everything. Always. (Thank God it has passed. I fear it will return.) So the ceremony begins and I’m already a little teary because it’s all so pretty and the mama’s are teary and gosh its all so special.
(Every weekend, folks. I cry every weekend. At every wedding.)
But THEN, they start reading the SAME readings that Zac and I had at our ceremony, which we don’t really hear very often. So after the first one I’m silent-weeping behind my camera. How embarrassing.
Then they do the hand ceremony.
We don’t always see this either and there are varied versions of it. Of course, they used the same one Zac and I did.
Are you familiar with a hand ceremony, friends? It begins by you placing your hands in your spouse’s hands as shown here…
Then someone begins reading to you all of the things these hands will do for you. That’s the point where it gets really emotional, grown men begin weeping, and pregnant wedding photographers are nearly incapacitated.
Annnnd smooch. Smile. Repeat.
Once the marrying was done, attention was turned to having a good time in a beautiful setting. Not only was this space gorgeous, the food was amazing. Just putting that out there, in case “serve amazing food” is high on your wedding priority list.
I don’t usually blog formal dances other than the couple’s but I’m kinda in love with this shot of Gina and Dad after their dance together. That’s a keeper!
Party time. These folks had themselves a ball. I would suspect they are still talking about how much fun they had ; )
Pictures of people taking selfies is my new favorite thing.
Congrats to Gina & Jeff, thanks for letting us be a part of your big day!
