Monika & Ivan’s Collinsville Wedding Photos
Monika and Ivan had a fabulous, sparkly wedding on a beautiful day in May. The wedding was at St. Elizabeth’s in Granite City and the reception was at the Collinsville VFW, which they completely transformed to suit their fairy tale vibe. Seriously, when I walked into their reception I didn’t even recognize the place. But we should probably start at the beginning…
The morning with the ladies was super chill and happy, as seen below! I credit this to a killer TLC-heavy Pandora station and well-made Bloody Marys.
This dress was so perfect for Monika and so perfect for their day. I think full-skirted dresses are making a come back and I’m not mad about it. And look at that sparkle!
Zac always shoots the moments before the ceremony and the very beginning of the ceremony from the back of the church. I love getting to see those images later! So much excitement and nervousness and happiness in them! The groom isn’t always in the back, its fun when he is!
We’ve been shooting in some really beautiful churches this year!
All marriaged up and ready to rock some portraits!
This bridal party was super fun
Monika was hoping for a mix of urban-ish and green-ish locations for portraits, so we made it happen! Love the variety!
Sparkle toss! So freaking cute and so perfect for the style of their day!
These girls had the perfect sass and the dudes had a bunch of swagger. I love when that happens!!
I don’t normally blog wedding food but, for real, I’m still thinking about this food. Major deliciousness. I love me some tortillas. Like I usually eat them correctly with whatever filling I’m supposed to be eating, but then I heat up a few more and eat them plain. Because I’m on the warm tortilla diet. Haven’t you heard of it? So you can appreciate how happy I was to see that cooler full of stacks of warm tortillas after a full day of workin’.
Remember how I said they transformed the Collinsville VFW? Check it out!!
Much dancing followed…
Thanks so much for letting us capture your awesome wedding day, Monika and Ivan! We loved every minute of it!
