Bloomington IL Wedding Photography – Leni & Dan

We had an unusual amount of fun at this wedding! The couple, the families, the bridal party – everyone was fabulous and having a good time, which means we were having a good time.

Leni and Dan’s Bloomington, IL wedding was just a wee bit warm and humid. We made quick work of the bridal party photos in Bloomington’s Miller Park, then headed to downtown Bloomington for more wedding photos. By the time we were downtown, I genuinely felt bad asking the bride and groom to touch either. It wasn’t exactly romantic, touchy-feely kinda weather!! But they more than pulled it off. I’m in love with these photos…

Funny how guys getting ready tends to look like guys playing Foosball/pool/bags, etc.

How stinkin’ cute are these shots of the bride, maid of honor and the bride’s dad?! They were hidden away in a cry room at the back of the church, so they’re sneaking a peek at the guests. Love it.

So much awesomeness in downtown Bloomington!

I was loving all the great spots and was pretty pleased with what we’d taken but I’d yet to find a spot with my ideal lighting. I knew it was there somewhere and I just wanted a few shots… I found it! In an alley! A very gross, very nasty smelling alley. But it worked!

Look at this romance… you’d never know it was 100% humidity and smelled like garbage!!

When we ask people to be serious and they crack up laughing instead…that’s my favorite.

Party time! We headed over to the DoubleTree in Bloomington for the festivities. Loved their baseball theme!

MLB parks instead of table numbers and individual cakes as centerpieces. I like.

Blue uplighting for the win!! Nothing gives your reception space a major boost like some uplighting! Do it!!

And after the formalities and toasts and a few sweet dances…there was dancing. And selfie taking. And laughting. And a lot more dancing.
