Narrowing this down to 15 images was brutal!! So many sweet little faces!
I also discovered while browsing for my favorites that I have a handful of unblogged children’s sessions! And really cute ones too! So I’ll have to fix that asap…
I love doing children’s session. Our goal is always to capture very natural expressions and boy do kids have a lot of them! To do that we tend to shy away from elaborate set ups or poses and pretty much just hang out with our little model and give simple directions here and there. Of course those directions are rarely, if ever, followed. But what does result is usually priceless…

Like this shot, for example. There is nothing cuter than what happens when you ask a little boy between the ages of 2 and 4 if he will put his hands in his pockets : )

Basically I love everything about this image. While I adore capturing images of giggly, happy little people, shots of not-serious kids being serious kill me. Seriously. They kill me. More evidence of that to come…

Images like this always make me a little sad…babies just don’t stay that size long enough!! That always leads to me telling my husband that we’re going to have soooo many babies! That always makes his eyes wide : )
