Katie + Troy ~ Barn Engagement Photos

November 20, 2014

Y’all it never fails – the best locations are always a shock to me. Someone will say something very innocent like “we can use the barn” and when I show up, it turns out to be the most ideal photo-ing location ever!

That’s what happened here… It was raining just before our session was scheduled to start but I wanted to get at least a few images taken so I asked Katie if the house had a covered porch or if we could open the doors to one of the barns and work right inside the doors. She texted me back, “Yup, we wanted to use the barn anyway.”

Um. Well. Yeah you did. Because its the most amazing thing EVER.

I almost peed my pants when we climbed up in there. Out of excitement, it wasn’t like a pregnancy problem or anything ; )

So anywho, here we go, with a stunning couple and to-die-for barn:

I’m so in love with the next one. I don’t even know why but there’s just something about it!

And below we have the perfect canvas decor for any new home… ; )

Normally, we use hand placement to help convey a relationship. In this case, spontaneous toe placement did the trick :)

Mine on the left, hubs on the right… I couldn’t decide so, you know…both!!

Oooh barn love!

After the barn, we left Katie’s family farm and headed to Troy’s. When got there, there was wind! Perfect, hair-blowing wind! And also cows. Of heifers? I don’t remember. Some form of livestock was present.

Apparently hubs and I both had the urge to be a little weird a shoot through things at the exact same time on different sides of the barn. Mine of the left, his on the right.

True story – right after I took those last two photos I was all “umm…excuse me but I’m going to go pee behind that tree…” Thank God for good natured farm kids who don’t mind if their photographer needs to pee in a field mid-session. That time it was a pregnancy problem – not excitement ; )

Katie and Troy – you to are total rock stars!! I cannot wait for your wedding day!!
