Newborn Lifestyle – Foster & Family
I knew this was coming… Early in the year, my facebook newsfeed was full to the brim with friends, family and random acquaintances announcing pregnancies. A full on baby boom. So I knew… I knew it was only a matter of time before that same newsfeed was full to brim with birth announcements and newborn photos of tiny little faces and sweet little snuggle nuggets and I knew it would be dangerous. And it is. It is so very dangerous. All these tiny little babies and my big, talking, crawling, growing baby constantly remind me how not tiny she is… Lord help me.
But, this my job. Someone’s got to do it. No matter how difficult and dangerous it is ;)
We get lots of questions about newborn photo sessions. A few years back, we scratched posed newborn photos from our list of offerings. It just doesn’t fit with our style and what we do or why we do. (Though we really do love looking at posed newborn photos, because they’re gorgeous. We just prefer to leave that to other photographers.) What we do offer are newborn lifestyle sessions. Documentary style, pose-free sessions shot in the comfort of your own home. No need to try to pause the newborn chaos and get yourselves dressed and out the door. We just show up with our cameras in hand and you just keep sitting on your couch, binge watching Netflix while feeding your baby for the 10,000 time that day.
Since I’ve been answering lots of emails about these sessions lately, I figured it was a good time to share one! (Remember when I used to blog like, every day? No you’re right…that’s only ever happened in my head…)
