Sneak Peak: The Ramons

August 31, 2010

Not to be confused with The Ramones.

Although after I drug them around for two hours – in and out of tall grass and weeds, up and down deep ditches – they probably did want to be sedated.

Lucky for me, we’re related, so they couldn’t complain. Or rather, they could, they would just be ignored.

On our way to meet the Ramons I spotted something that made me very, very excited. A looooong row of school buses. Not locked up in a bus yard like they normally are but just parked in a row.  Just waiting for me to make trouble.

I arrived at the Ramons and announced “I found school buses!!!!”

Blank stares.

“Can we go by the school buses?!?!!” I shrieked.

Blank stares. “Sure, Mags.”

They politely reminded me they do not drive, ride or repair school buses. They aren’t even in the education field.

I told ’em to shut up and drive to the school buses.

Oh so random. Oh so fabulous.

Thank you, unattended school buses.

Then I made them drive waaaaay out into the middle of nowhere because I’d spotted a real nice field of weeds the day before.

They politely said, “That’s a long ways away. And we’re wearing open toed shoes…we’re not so sure about fields of weeds.”

I told ’em to shut up and drive to the weeds!

(Don’t you wish you were related to me, so I could talk to you like this?)

Once we’d arrived at the weeds I told them to enter the weeds heading North. They protested that the weeds were rough and pokey and would scratch their arms.

I told ’em to shut up, put those arms in the air and get in the weeds!

And they did, like this…

hehehe

Pretty : )

Then I made ’em cross the road, climb a ditch, and hike through some weeds. This time I didn’t wait for a protest. I just told ’em to shut up and step high and wide cus the terrain was uneven!

And they did, like this…

hehehe, this is fun

We wrapped up back in town with a few shots of everyone in their Air Force attire – Kyle is an Airman 1st Class stationed in Montana. Do you know what kind of family photos we could take in Montana?! Have Mercy, we should be the ones on leave going to visit him!

So there you have it – more to come later on.

Much thanks the Ramons for letting me photo you again! (They were the very first people I took photos of…5 years ago! ) And really, they didn’t complain or protest about a single thing and I didn’t have to tell ’em to shut up once! They were probably cussing me on the way home as they scratched assorted rashes and bug bites on their feet but hey that’s okay with me.
