The Bruce Family!

April 18, 2011

So in a very recent blog post I shared with you how I had to cut short a session with a family of 5 due to extremely cold temperatures. Fast forward 3 weeks and I was standing in the middle of a garden among blooming flowers whining at Zac, “What am I going to doooo?!” It was 87 blazing degrees and there wasn’t an ounce of shade to be found. The only thing worse than clients who are freezing is clients who are sweating and at risk for heat stroke.

Thankfully, the Bruce family was flexible so we skipped into town where I knew we could find some shade until the sun set. By the time we returned to our original garden location, the sun was sinking and everything was shady and lovely. Thank ya Jesus.

Let’s review the rewards of flexibility…

You’re getting bunches of these because I had a hard time narrowing them down!

Close ups are always my favorites  : ) Every member of this family has gorgeous blue eyes!! But I’m a sucker for black and white…

That’s a favorite : ) For sure!

I’m loving the leg hug in this one, too sweet. Please earmark for the photo slide show at his wedding.

How wonderful is this field of daffodils? They were really huge blooms too. It’s just one of the happiest things!!

And one just for giggles…

I call it, “brothers.” heehee

Contact me soon if you’d like to schedule your very own family (or engagement, maternity, senior, any other occasion) photo session for the Spring or Summer! Dates are still available in the Edwardsville, Alton, O’Fallon, St. Louis general Metro East area!
