The Yacko Family – Take One

April 5, 2011

So a few weeks back I had this little family photo session schedule in Streator. The week before the session I wore sandals to work twice, grilled food, even bounced around town in shorts. But come time for this session, it’s 30 degrees with wind that blows straight through you. Figures.

Had this been an engagement session with two grown adults, we probably would have survived. (Maybe, its possible my fingers would have been to cold to work a camera.) But this was a session with 3 little ladies. The littlest of which was far to young to understand why people we’re making her stand outside in the parking lot with no coat on. It was close to torture, I think.

We started by grabbing individuals shots of each family member. Normally I do those first so the close ups are done before hair frizzes or make up runs. In this case it was before cheeks turned pink and noses started to run : )

By the time we got through all 5 family members, we were all done. Only one of us was young enough to pitch a fit and have it be socially acceptable but let me tell you – on the inside – I was crying. So we rescheduled for the 4th of July!

Until then…here’s the few we manged to get. An appetizer for the Yacko family I suppose.

Seriously beautiful family, right? We even managed one group shot…

Check back in July for the warmer version of this session!
